In the COOL lessons, the learners work on both subject-specific and cross-curricular assignments. The objectives are based on the competencies defined in the curricula of the respective subjects. The students work independently and in different groups on these assignments. Throughout this independent learning process, teachers are continuously available to give the learners feedback as their personal “coaches”.

Differentiated assignments and assignments with compulsory and optional tasks or tasks-in other words-assignments that favor the development of talents- allow for teachers to focus on each individual learner’s needs and thus can provide goal-oriented support.
